My Hot Ham, Turkey, Cheese and Dijon Sandwiches are one of my absolute favorite go-to recipes! We make these sandwiches all the time and they are wonderful EACH and EVERY time!

Trust me, I am well aware there are a few million hot sandwich recipes on the internet. So I don’t claim that this recipe is the only one of its kind. I do however claim my version is sure to quickly become one of your favorite go-to recipes!

These sandwiches are great for leftovers too! They reheat well and taste just as wonderful the next day! Who can ask for more from a sandwich?

I would like to apologize in advance for some of these pictures. It’s a tough life when you’re a food blogger and live in a state where you don’t see the sun for days at a time!!

Oatmeal Marshmallow Cookie Sandwiches

February 17, 2014 · by Mega ·

Delicious homemade marshmallow buttercream frosting lathered between two freshly made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Please pass the milk!

OMCS_001

I was experimenting in the kitchen today like I often do, especially during this never-ending Winter, and I came up with something I think you guys are really going to like.

Today I am sharing my Oatmeal Marshmallow Cookie Sandwiches. Okay, let me clear the air right away. I know a lot of people grew up eating Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies. However, I did not! We just never had them in the house.

I know what they are of course, but I have never actually had one. I wasn’t out to copy anyone or anything, I just wanted a little something different. 🙂

I am very happy with how these turned out! Because, everything in these cookies tastes the way I want it to taste. Don’t you love it when that happens?

A homemade chocolate chip oatmeal cookie with homemade vanilla marshmallow buttercream frosting. What’s not to love?

Make sure you make these on the smaller side like I explain in the recipe. Trust me on this, when made with real ingredients they are very filling, and very very good!

Super Easy Ice Cream Sandwiches

July 13, 2013 · by Mega ·

ice cream sandwich_choc chip

The next time your kids, or family members ask for ice cream sandwiches give this method a try!

Purchase your favorite flavor of ice cream. Any ice cream will do. I usually go for vanilla because you can do anything with it.

Then, scoop your favorite flavor of ice cream between two store-bought cookies.

There are tons of cookies out there now that are wonderful; like peanut butter chocolate chip, M&M, any multi-chip cookie, or any cookie you like. This is one of the few times you want a store-bought cookie because they’re usually fairly solid.

Now roll the edges of the ice cream sandwich in crushed cereal, use up all those little cereal crumbs on the bottom of the cereal bag. A few of our favorites are any type of fruity pebbles or rings, peanut butter and chocolate puffs, and any type of cereal with mini marshmallows, any brandd will do. Just make sure the crumbs are crushed small enough to roll the sandwich in, but not a powder.

*MM Tip: You could use sprinkles but it can get expensive, plus this is a great way to use up all those crumbs in the bottom of the box nobody every wants to eat. Save the sprinkles for a birthday party or such!

For maximum enjoyment these must be eaten outside! 🙂
