Today’s post is a sweet little TRUE tale of how this cute little robin’s nest came to be in our FRONT yard!
Every year we have a pair of robins that seem to claim our front yard as their own. It’s really pretty funny, because every year they come back to our yard, and every year it’s the same thing. Not only do these robins seem to think they own the yard, but they aren’t exactly friendly.
As a matter of fact they don’t really seem to like us much period. But we love them anyway!!
That piece of red ribbon you see in the picture is something the robins found and just kind of wove into their nest. Isn’t that funny? 🙂
How this nest came to be is quite the story. I won’t bore you with all the little details. However, Momma Robin sits on the eggs quite frequently now. So, I’m guessing they’re going to hatch soon.
Just to put things into perspective this nest is in a empty hanging flower basket, hanging from the bushes in our front yard, and it’s only at about four feet high, and we live right in town on a fairly busy street.
Crazy, huh?
