This recipe is a simple, home style, almost rustic treat for Valentine’s Day!
I got this recipe idea from my kids, believe it or not. It was one of those conversations where this is what we came up with for something a little different, a little fun, but still has that comforting feel that we all seem to love so much.
For those of you who aren’t frosting lover’s, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The frosting nestled in between these cookies is absolutely wonderful. I just sort of played around until I was happy with the taste to be used with these particular cookies.
This frosting is basically buttercream meets marshmallow, or marshmallow meets buttercream if you prefer. 🙂 What more can you ask for?
