My Garlic-Cheese Flatbread makes the perfect appetizer for any party or get-together! It also makes a great light lunch when you want something just a little different.
Everyone makes garlic bread, but let’s be honest, a good garlic bread is hard to find! This Garlic-Cheese Flatbread is surprisingly GREAT! You know what I think it is? Clean, simple, basic flavors put together in a way that makes them taste darn good, and my good I mean GREAT!
With this garlic flatbread you have the wonderful flavors of basil, garlic, a delicious blend of cheeses, and baked flatbread going on. Don’t you find that simple & delicious flavors are always the most satisfying!
Make this for any kind of get together for family and friends and I guarantee you it will disappear as fast as you put it out! 🙂

I went to the fridge to get my fresh basil and it was gone. Which means one of my guys used it up on something. Ugh!
So on to Plan B, dried basil it was. The flavor was just as good, I just prefer to use fresh basil. But feel free to use either one, just be sure to use less if you use dried basil. The recipe below gives you the details.
This is brand of Naan I used. I picked these up at Target during one of my recent shopping trips. I’m sure any brand would work fine. The flatbreads come two to a pack. You can use just one kind or one of each, like I did. Both were wonderful!
The garlic Naans are also wonderful, without being to garlicky.
Keep in mind if you use one of each, you will have to make this recipe again very soon to use the remaining Naans. 🙂

Pizza sauce with a little bit of fresh chopped basil or parsley is just perfect for dipping!
2 Naan Flatbreads
1 tablespoon butter, melted
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon fresh basil, minced or 1 teaspoon dried basil
3/4 cup (3 ounces) shredded pizza cheese blend (I used a blend of low-moisture part-skim mozzarella, provolone, romano, asiago and parmesan cheeses), use any blend you normally enjoy on your pizza
pizza sauce for dipping, or any other dipping sauce
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2. In a small bowl, melt butter in microwave oven. Combine butter, garlic and basil. Brush or drizzle over Naans.
3. Sprinkle Naans with cheese blend of choice, or plain mozzarella.
4. Bake for about 5 minutes, or until cheese is completely melted. Cut into triangles, squares or any shape you desire. Serve with pizza sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
