My Hot Ham, Turkey, Cheese and Dijon Sandwiches are one of my absolute favorite go-to recipes! We make these sandwiches all the time and they are wonderful EACH and EVERY time!
Trust me, I am well aware there are a few million hot sandwich recipes on the internet. So I don’t claim that this recipe is the only one of its kind. I do however claim my version is sure to quickly become one of your favorite go-to recipes!
These sandwiches are great for leftovers too! They reheat well and taste just as wonderful the next day! Who can ask for more from a sandwich?

Dollar buns are the perfect sized buns for these sandwiches. The majority of the time I use wheat dollar buns for my sandwiches. But you can certainly use white buns, or any other type of small bun you prefer.
Place 1/2 slice of cheddar (or 2 quarters) on the bottom half of the bun. I like to cut the 1/2 piece of cheddar into quarters and kind of overlap the two quarters. That way when the cheese melts it still stays in the sandwich. 🙂
On top of the cheese I like to put down one slice of ham and one slice of turkey. Not too much meat, but enough to give the sandwich some substance.
Top the buns with the melted butter and Dijon mixture.
Top with your favorite Mozzarella cheese or Mozzarella blend. Personally I love the mozzarella blends.
If you want to add more cheese feel free – this is 1 cup!
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and a nice golden color.
Hot Ham, Turkey, Cheese and Dijon Sandwiches
12 wheat dollar buns, split
8 tablespoons butter, melted
4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
6 slices cheddar, cut in half, then divided into quarters
12 slices ham folded to fit the dollar buns
12 slices turkey folded to fit the dollar buns
1-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, or your favorite mozzarella blend
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray 13 x 9-inch pan with cooking spray.
2. Brush the bottom of all 12 rolls generously with the melted butter and Dijon mixture. Arrange the 12 bottoms in the 13 x 9-inch baking pan. It will be a tight fit, position as evenly as possible.
3. Top each roll with a 2 quarters (1/2 slice) of cheddar cheese, turkey and ham slice. Place a top on each sandwich.
4. Brush tops of rolls with melted butter and Dijon mustard mixture, top with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and becoming a nice golden brown color.
Makes 12 sandwiches.
