THREE Treats in THREE Days for Easter:
Here we go with Day 2 of THREE Easter Treats in THREE Days. Today’s treat is Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies. This is another cookie that people generally love! I just knew this cookie had to be included.
Again, I’m not including a recipe because this is a basic cookie that most of us have our own favorite recipe for. I just want to give you a heads up regarding this cookie. It’s always nice to think of the people your making something for.
There are basically two ways to make a really good soft double chocolate cookie of any kind. There is the cream cheese method, and of course the pudding method. Here’s the thing the cream cheese method is always wonderful, but it also makes the cookies much richer. At times that’s okay, but that richness can be too much for a lot of people.
Then, there’s the pudding method. You’ve all seen these recipes. The recipes where you add dry pudding mix to whatever you’re making. In most cases, I prefer to go this route, for a number of reasons. The best part is, you can even use sugar-free pudding if you want to, and the cookies still turn out great! You decide what’s going to work best for you, only you know who you’re baking treats for.
Day 2: Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies – these have the taste and texture that everyone loves. Put these in an airtight container overnight, and they will be delicious tomorrow.
Tomorrow we’ll talk about our Treat for Day 3, and of course a cute, and inexpensive or up-cycled container.
MM TIP: You could use any type of Easter candy you want in these cookies and they would turn out great. However, this is when the Frugalista in me comes out. The “Easter Bunny” spends plenty on candy and snacks for everyone’s Easter Basket. The “Easter Bunny” doesn’t usually spend top dollar on candy to be used for baking. But they’re your cookies, so you do whatever works best for you.
